How much will my PDF be compressed?
Compression results vary depending on how the original PDF was created. Scanned, photo-heavy, or image-based PDFs usually shrink the most. Already optimized text PDFs may see little reduction.
Does compression reduce image quality?
It depends on the level. Balanced runs a light structure pass and keeps original quality. Strong applies full structure optimization and still keeps quality intact. Maximum may rebuild image-heavy pages as JPG with lower quality to produce the smallest possible file.

Why didn't my file get smaller?
Some PDFs are already well-optimized or mostly simple vector text. In that case, the tool keeps the smallest browser-generated version and tells you when it cannot shrink the file further.
